DigiCareVET partners met in November 2025 at Copenhagen for team-bulding and planning next steps, esp. the needs assessment survey on how technology is used in care sectors.

The project group meeting began with a presentation by Maj-Britt Weidinger (Knowledge Center for Welfare Technology), describing how digitalisation should function as a natural aid and support in everyday life. This provided a good starting point for considering the significance of welfare technology in the social and healthcare sector.

We got to know each other by competing in escape-room-style games with themes related to welfare technology.

We also explored the digital teaching solutions and various simulation rooms of SOSU H, our host organisation. We discussed what kinds of welfare technologies are currently in use or available for study in our educational institutions.

We planned the first concrete outcome of the project: a survey aimed at identifying competence gaps between the operations of educational institutions and the needs of workplaces. We also discussed the next phase—the toolbox—and what kind of toolbox would best meet the needs of our target groups.
