Why?
DigiCareVET project addresses the critical challenges arising from Europe’s aging population and the subsequent severe workforce shortage in the social and healthcare sectors.
This pressure is magnified by a digital skills gap in Vocational Education and Training (VET), as many educators and students lack the necessary digital competencies to integrate rapidly evolving welfare technology, leading to misalignment between VET and labor market demands.
What?
The project aims to enhance digital competence by delivering a Digital Transformation Toolbox (DTT), which includes interactive learning materials, case studies, and pedagogical models for digital healthcare training.
The project introduces new teaching strategies, such as the Talking Circle Model, to empower VET educators through peer learning, ensuring they are equipped with the skills and confidence to prepare future professionals for increasingly digitalized care environments.
When?
DigiCareVET is an Erasmus+ KA-2 strategic co-operation project co-funded by the European Union running from 01.09.2025-31.10.2027.
